ShineMate Dust Devil 5 inch V3 Backing Plate The ShineMate 23855-02 ‘Dust Devil’ Backing Plate is a truly unique backing plate developed specifically for use with Dual Action Polishers. This backing plate has a number of features that make it a fantastic replacement or upgrade to a normal dual action plate. The plate itself is extremely well balanced due to the multi structure and material construction, creating a extremely rigid backing. It is also extremely well ventilated that allows cool air to flow through the surface keeping the pad cooler, reducing the chance of the pad failing due to excessive heat build up. Finally this pads real party trick is it fits all dual action machines, both short throw using the traditional 5/16″-24 thread, such as the DAS-6 , DAS-6 PRO & Shinemate ERO600 polishers, but also M8 based machines such as the DAS-6 PRO PLUS, Vertool 21e and even Rupes Bigfoot machines.
