Today I’m smoking the Camacho triple Maduro robusto from my local B&M. This has been in my cedar humidor for a little while now at 72% humidity. It has a nice big band on it. Dark wrapper sort of a velvety feel to it. After the “Cut and a light” requirement, I’m picking up a nice earthy flavor, a light pepper and some smooth creamy chocolate. It’s medium plus body. Good draw to it with a thick smooth smoke. About 30 minutes later I’m headed into the second third. There’s roasted coffee, still very earthy, the pepper has faded to a new spice flavor and a touch of cedar. It’s pretty mellow for a triple Maduro. It does have a somewhat crooked burn line, which I’m letting go for now. It seems slow burning. Medium strength, the body has increased a bit. The ash is light grey. About an hour into this now, and it’s become full bodied, it has increased in strength. The spice has kicked up as well. The nicotine is more noticeable, there’s still a sweetness on the pallet, which has been pretty consistent throughout. Still very earthy. I did do some small touch ups on it. It had a good smoke output, with thick smoke but the whole cigar was smooth and mellow. My smoke time was one hour and thirty minutes and I’m scoring this with 90 points.
